Verbena

Lemon Verbena is a very popular infusion in the south of France. It has a marvellous, refreshing, lemon flavour without the harsh acidity of real lemon. It is a gorgeous, vivid, green and brings to mind freshly cut lemons and Sundays in the garden.

Originating in Argentina, the lemon verbena plant (aloysia triphylla) was brought to Europe in the 17th century. Its wonderful intense fragrance has made it a staple in the perfume industry. Lemon verbena is a very relaxing drink thought to be beneficial for sleep.
