The Castleton Estate is a renowned plantation in the south of Darjeeling which has become famous for its second flush picking. The tea has a delightful golden colour and a classic Darjeeling taste. Soft floral tones reminiscent of sweet muscat wine.
Under the shadow of Kangchenjunga, the mountain said to be home of the Hindu God Shiva, the Castleton estate is now one to the top tea producers in Darjeeling. The second flush picking starts in May, when the shimmering leaf buds are at their most luscious and moist. Tea from this picking is celebrated for its muscatel tones.
